I recently received the Summer Glow Tanning Lotion Accelerator for both indoor tanning beds and outdoor sun use, complete with a bronzer to get a dark tan quickly. One of the first things I noticed and loved about this lotion was the delightful watermelon scent. It spreads well, but I made sure to apply it in a circular motion as recommended to avoid any streaks. I found that my skin did look darker faster, and the tan was a natural brown rather than an orange hue. However, I did notice that the lotion has some colorant in it because it transferred slightly onto my towel as I got hotter. It's crucial to apply the lotion very evenly because, despite my careful application, I still ended up with a few uneven spots. Using a mirror while applying might help ensure a more uniform application. On the positive side, my skin felt very moisturized, and I didn't experience any irritation. This tanning lotion does a good job of accelerating the tanning process and leaves the skin feeling hydrated, but it requires careful and even application to avoid streaks and uneven spots.
Isletan Summer Glow Tanning Accelerator, described as suitable for outdoor or tanning bed use, is formulated with several oils. It's heavyweight, sits on my skin more than absorbing into it. I'm not surprised by that, but users should be aware that there's no SPF and it will, indeed, accelerate the tanning process. Ingredients also include Caramel and Carrot Root Extract, topical skin colorants. I find it does lend a bit of an orange cast to mine, despite it being described as "anti-orange". I use it sparingly, outdoors (the tanning salon I go to doesn't allow oily lotions), for short periods of time. As with any skin care product, best to go slowly as you decide whether it suits your needs. I actually prefer it for after-sun use, to add a bit of moisture and sheen.
I messed up when I ordered this isletan summer glow tanning accelerator for indoor tanning beds and outdoor sun, I didn't notice that it had bronzer in it. I personally don't like tanning lotion with bronzers because I always end up streaked looking. I tried this today, it has a nice scent and it absorbs well into my skin but it does take some time to rub it in. I stayed out in the sun for about an hour and I did notice some deepening of my tan, whether it is the bronzer or a real tan I am not sure. I also noticed some streaking which I expected, I did go shower and use a mild exfoliating brush on my legs where I noticed the streaking and now it doesn't look so bad. The streaking is my fault probably as I don't seem to be able to apply the lotion evenly. Just remember this doesn't have any sunscreen in it so be careful.
The tanning lotion seems to really work, after minimal sun exposure my skin is already looking darker. The color of the product is a little weird and off putting at first, but rubs in clear. It smells really good but I can't quite put my finger on what the smell is? It also make my skin feel very moisturized and soft, but not greasy.
The one negative is that it does seem to rub off on towels and chairs right after applying.
Overall I look forward to seeing my new tan while using this product.
This bottle is super sized as far as how full it is! The colour of the lotion is 'interesting' to say the least. It's a green/ grey and while smooth and easy to blend into the skin, is simply odd. The scent is familiar and close to a melon or similar fruit. I don't find that the scent lingers so for those scent sensitive people it shouldn't be a problem. The lotion feels nice on the skin and although I have zero intention of going to the tanning salon, I do enjoy my pool and the sunshine in our backyard but this lotion is merely for moisturizing and not about tanning, at least for me. It's pricey but given how full the bottle is, I expect it will last a good long while.
